Well, first day of the tournament and half the Big East is out. Villanova survived, BARELY. Half the SEC's gone. The ACC plays today.

Meanwhile, in the NIT, both Mississippi and Mississippi State are still alive. State takes on North Carolina today. Obviously got my money on MS ST.

Ditto that Elizabeth. When the Cats crash the boards, no one can compete. It's a matter of staying mentally tough for 40 minutes is all.

This is great stuff..I know Louisville can beat Duke in the second round if they bring it..I watched both of their Syracuse games and they are a very good team with potential..Plus they've got Rick Pitino's strategic mind at work:) Kansas is not invincible either..Losing to Oklahoma:) If the Cats play basketball consistently...I believe our young team can outwit, outplay, and outlast against Kansas or any other team..

My blog is full of homages to all kinds of rockers. Some dead, some alive. Some junkies, some not. However, on very few occasions do I claim them to be "heroes". Why would they be a hero? They entertain me. I love music, as some of them do. We have that in common. However, I'm tired of watching our society be totally wrecked by drugs. So many people that could have contributed and had meaningful lives just doing nothing but existing long enough to die. And, for most, their first exposure to drugs was their "heroes". Instead of propping these junkies up, how's about we celebrate those people who can manage to make great music and be creative without relying on a crux? It's possible. And some do it. Those are the heroes. Unfortunately, NME doesn't consider that hero material. They want a junkie pushing drugs on kids.

can you not pay a wee bit of homage to the other people who made the list rather than getting your fanny in a knot about pete. theres a note of hypocrisy when you claim nme readers to be uninterested in the music when you yourself are slating an artist on nothing but their personal life. you do not know his music. your opinion of it will always be clouded by what the sun and the daily mail tell us about his 'oh so awful' lifestyle. and not to say that a rock hero is someone who lives, sleeps and dreams about crack, but its not fucking Ozzy Osborne either with his twatish reality show. its someone who is genuine, honest, a true reflection of agnst and kurt, morrisey and what the hell, pete are all of these things.
