Another dead rocker – Ike Turner

Ike Turner shot to fame in the late 60′s with his wife Tina Turner, and hit the top with Proud Mary.  They had a couple of other hits together, but Proud Mary has been huge for forty years.  Ike’s drug abuse while stoned split the pair up.  Tina went on to an even huger career, Ike kinda faded into obscurity. … (more…)

Yet another incredibly boring basketball score

I wrote about how horrid watching the George Washington – St. Louis game must have been.  First of all, it wasn’t close.  Second of all, St. Louis rarely even scored.  However, those were two lesser schools that rarely accomplish much of anything in NCAA basketball.  So, I doubt much was expected going into that game.  However, yesterday Iowa upset the… (more…)

That folks, was the final score of a basketball game.  Now, scores like that weren’t all the uncommon BEFORE the shot clock, but these guys had to shoot the ball at least every thirty-five seconds.  They did, most of the time, going 7-48.  That includes going 1-19 from three point range.  That’s bad.  That’s awful.  I bet Rick Majerus wishes… (more…)
